CITY TECH STORE ("we", "us", "our") operates citytechstore.org, an online store selling phones, laptops, accessories, and other tech products. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. It's written to comply with Nigeria's Data Protection Act, 2023 (NDPA) and the NDPC's General Application and Implementation Directive (GAID) 2025.

When you create an account or place an order, we collect:
If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID to link your sign-in — we don't receive your Google password.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address, your subscription status (subscribed or unsubscribed), and a record of your consent — including the IP address and browser details used at the moment you subscribed, kept as proof that you actually opted in.
If you contact us through our Contact page, we store your name, email address, and the message you send us, so we can reply.
If you use the chat on our website, we store your questions and the assistant's answers, the page you started the chat on, and — if you're logged in — a link to your account (not your name or contact details). Before a message is stored or answered, email addresses, phone numbers and card-like numbers in it are hidden. If you're logged in and ask about an order, the assistant may look up the number, status and expected delivery dates of your own orders; it never sees your address, phone number, email or payment details. Please don't share card details, PINs or passwords in the chat.
We do not collect or store your debit/credit card details. Payments are processed directly by Paystack, our payment provider — your card information goes to them, not to us.
Subscribing to our newsletter is entirely optional and separate from having a customer account. We only add you to the marketing list after you take a clear action to subscribe (double opt-in: you submit your email, then confirm via a link we send you).
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time, and we'll stop sending marketing emails to you as soon as your request is processed — this happens automatically through our email provider's systems. If you choose to pause emails instead, we treat that as unsubscribing; to receive them again, subscribe again. Unsubscribing doesn't affect order confirmations or other account-related messages, since those aren't marketing and aren't optional while you have an active order.
To measure how our emails perform, our email provider tracks whether a marketing email was delivered, opened, or clicked. Our order and account emails (such as password resets and order updates) are sent through the same provider, which records whether they were delivered and may also record whether they were opened.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any reason.
We keep account and order information for as long as your account is active, and afterward only as long as needed for legitimate business, tax, or legal reasons. If you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we keep your email address and consent record for up to 3 years after your last activity, so we can prove you actually opted in (or out) if ever asked, then delete it automatically, from our records and from our email provider. If an email to your address bounced, or you reported one of our emails as spam, we keep only your email address on a do-not-email list after that, so that we never email you again.
Messages sent through our Contact page are currently kept indefinitely, for our own record-keeping.
Website chat conversations are deleted automatically 90 days after their last message.

Our site uses essential cookies to keep you logged in and your cart working.
